Kiwanis International empowers people at every stage of life to become competent, capable, and compassionate leaders. Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs are leadership and character-building programs hosted in a school or community agency and often sponsored by a Kiwanis club or another civic organization. Service Leadership Programs have existed since the first Key Club was founded in 1925. Last week, the Downriver West Kiwanis club visited both the Downriver for Veterans and Michigan Veterans Foundation and donated a check for $100.00 to each organization.
Club members Al Cotto, Tom Lassen, and Clif Stone were on hand to present the checks to DFV Director Ann Rudisill and MVF Director Raeda Dabaja.
