The Michigan District of Kiwanis has teamed up with Michigan’s Attorney General Bill Schuette to provide a safe and happy environment for the kids of Michigan by promoting the OK2Say program.
OK2SAY is the student safety program which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at school students, school employees, and schools. It uses a comprehensive communication system to facilitate tip sharing among students, parents, school personnel, community mental health service programs, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and law enforcement officials about harmful behaviors that threaten to disrupt the learning environment.
The Michigan District of Kiwanis is accepting applications for students in grades 9-12 who are interested in going into the Law Enforcement Career field.
Clubs can sponsor students in their area or a student looking for a sponsor from around the state of Michigan. Cost is $595 per student and includes a $100 non refundable deposit.
Congratulations to the Kiwanis Club of Lapeer for being chosen as the Legacy of Play contest winner receiving $25,000 in playground equipment from Kiwanis International partner Landscape Structures Inc., which will help make their nature-inspired, inclusive playground at Rowden Park a reality. #KidsNeedKiwanisDrumroll, please!
