Welcome to the Mighty Michigan District, the birthplace of Kiwanis. Since January 1915, we have been serving the children and communities of Michigan. We are a diverse mix of ages, genders, occupations, backgrounds and interests, all working together to make the world a better place for children so they can thrive. Whether we are working on one of our many service projects to fill the unique needs of our local cities and towns or putting the “fun” in fundraising, we are always building a community of service that will have an enduring impact as we support our future leaders.
What is Kiwanis?
We are actually a family of service organizations. Led by our adult Kiwanis clubs, we support high school students in service through Key Clubs, junior high students with Builders Clubs, elementary kids through K-Kids, our collegiate leaders through CKI, and adults with disabilities with Aktion Clubs. Through this family of service organizations, we are able to bring every generation together to make the world a better place and ensure that today’s children will grow up to be tomorrow’s service leaders.

Over the weekend, a handful of Michigan Kiwanians had the honor of attending the Michigan District of Key Club Service Leadership Conference held in Lansing. The weekend was themed 🐠🪼service under the sea 🐳🦀and was well attended with over 300 members present! It is truly amazing to see how professional, eloquent & passionate these students are! The energy these students have is something we should all experience and encourage our own key clubs to have. Congratulations to district administrator Jordan De La Cruz, district Governor Jenna Morrison, and all of the district board for your hard work putting this together!
